More on the switch it appears with instructions in 1947-48 Chev/GMC U.S. and Canadian manuals. It appears in the 1948 GMC full line brochure, 1949 Film/book Advance Design for 49' and the previous citings above. It looks to me like it disappeared from trucks in 49 (maybe with the mid year change). I could not find it in any 1951 films so I would say it phased out in the cars in 1950. The 1929-53 Chevrolet Master Parts catalog lists the ignition switch w/o cylinder and keys. The GMC Master Parts Book 1939-53 lists the three way switch 1116452 as 1947-48 and the two way 1116464 from 1949-on. 1942-1956 Chev/GMC parts book lists the same part number for 49-55 1st.
