Anyway, the stick on gold leaf peeled off with a hair dryer set on low heat. It was very easy to remove. Hair dryer in one hand and rolled tape off with the other hand. I took the letters off the hood and doors yesterday afternoon so we are ready for the painter to start on Thursday morning.
It looked good but it wasn't the original method. I want to make it like it arrived in Thalia in October 1952.
