"I looked at putting a NP A833 4spd with the heavy iron case in a TF with the front mounts, and figured it would work to fab up a thin sheet steel piece to put between the bellhouse and block that had ears to replace the mounts on the old bellhouse ... might work with an auto too, but I'm not sure how adding that 1/4" space would affect things" Bill
I see no problem with that if a guy put the same size spacers between the flexplate and the torque converter
