Jon, if higher than what you expect in oil pressure "is what actually started all the posts for me" then I think your worried about nothing. It is entirely likely that after all the years since your engine was built that it has been rebuilt at least once. Or even failing that the oil pump may have been replaced. We don't often hear from folks complaining of too much oil pressure. Overhaul kits for these old girls arn't that crucial so tear it down and get whatever parts you find you need. It really isn't as big a deal as you may think.
