oddly enough, I am having my crankshaft ground to fit the main bearings to fit without shims. The specs are from .0005-.00331, the .0005 is what modern engines uses, (actually the 4.6 ford is spec'd at .0004) so they aren't that much different really. I would feel comfortable with .001-.0015, I did see where one of the indy engines is spec'd at .000, yes zero.
