You're doing it the right way for what you are looking to achieve and for your particular interests and I would like to do the same someday. However, at this moment, a total rebuild and upgrade as mine is would be finished sometime in 2030 if I had taken the "perfect" engine and driveline route. A crate engine for now is a simple tool to see this project to a completion sometime in my lifetime.
