I scouted up a picture that shows one on a 52 AD with a V8. It's the blue colored cable with the spring. The spring is fairly substantial. Something else you might care to see is how the temp sender fitting has been moved to the rear water runner on the V8 so the stock AD sender tube is long enough to reach it. For the 235 guys there is a shot of the full pressure oil filter and lines. These shots are in the first row or so on my photo site
