54, Your on the right track. I've never seen a AD with an automatic. I did measure, and the clutch lever is 1 1/4" and the brake is 1 3/4" wide. The shaft is 3 1/2". So if you have a brake lever 3" wide I would assume your truck originally had an automatic in it? I'll bet the odds are 95 out of 100 trucks came with standard transmissions! I think the plunger alignment has been a common problem, do a search and you'll come up with a fix. Goodluck.
