My problem has to do with the shaft that extends from the bracket attached to the frame which holds the clutch linkage and the brake linkage (both are solid steel arms). The shaft that extends inward is 3 1/2" long. First the clutch linkage is about 1 3/16" wide. Then there is the brake linkage which is about 3" wide. With both installed the brake linkage is short about 3/4". There doesn't seem to be any way to secure the end of the shaft with the two linkages on it. Is this normal?
