Well, nuts to you Jimmie D., hope that made you smile! Yep, I get kind of furstraded sometimes because I try pretty hard to carry my part of the load before I ask for help.
Nut splitter, never thought of that, good idea,shows ya got your thinkin cap on this afternoon. Now, where in the world am I going to get one that will fit round a 1 5/8" nut? I looked all day for a 1 5/8", 6 point socket and finally had to settle on a 12 pointer, don't hold up to good with the impact, which by the way, I tried again after having the heat tape on for several hours. I suppose I could take a cold chisel to it but I don't want to do damage to the brgs. Then there is the fun of trying to find a nut, Chevy probably switched sizes of nuts in 52 and I'll have to go on another wild goose chase.
