After cleaning my 37 tank it had several pin holes. I ended up using the sealer kit inside and then put a good coat of POR15 on the outside....that was over 10 years ago and I have never had any problems of any kind out of my tank and I do drive my truck quite regularly.
I might add that on my 37 the tank sits down under the seat, I can take the cap off and look straight down into the tank. The sealer looks as good and smooth, no signs of any cracks, as the day I poured it in.
