It was the 250's that were weak at the front head bolt, the 292s are taller so there is more iron around and below the head bolt. Just to be sure block is OK, clean the area real good and spray some brake clean on it to dry it out. If there is a crack, oil will seep out and show up on the freshly brake cleaned area. Putting studs in the four corners is recommended, but makes it a little difficult to get the head on if its in the truck. Joe
