Let it idle for an hour. Kept right on smoking till I saw oil dripping out of exhaust pipe. Gave up took off intake exhaust manifold. Lots of oil in both the manifold and head ports. Number two intake had an actual puddle of oil completely surrounding the valve.
Can that much oil come down the guide????
PS. The motor smoked before I had the head rebuilt. When I took the head off to get rebuilt I noticed oil in the intake and exhaust. In other words it is doing the same before and after the rebuilt head. So I am guessing the rings are bad even though I had 140 plus compression.
Is it possible to get oil in the intake from bad rings?????
Thanks for any input. I will update the condition of the rings when I pull the pistons. | | |
