A vacuum gauge is standard equipment on my 66 barracuda as a "Performance Indicator". By paying attention to it I can get better mileage. It also gives me a clue when something isn't right with the engine.
The vacuum gauge can diagnose a variety of engine malfunctions if you take the time to learn what the readings might indicate.
