#67624 10/23/2006 4:37 PM | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 | Last night I finally mounted my split exhaust manifold on my 235 with Fenton intake and dual Rochester B’s. I had a short pc. of pipe and was able to run the front outlet down by the oil pan. I only started it for about 30 seconds but the sound blew me away. I’m taking it to the exhaust guy this afternoon for the dual mufflers/pipes. He suggested oval performance type mufflers with pipes straight out the back. I’m wondering the best place to cross over to the opposite side. He said the area looked good under the tranny but he didn’t want to block it. I told him the tranny comes out thru the cab so the pipe wouldn’t be in my way there. I don’t want to be too loud but I want the distinct sound noticed so I’m unsure of mufflers too. Anybody have suggestions on routing in an A.D. application? Thanks for replies.
