I need to order my electric motor and there has been talk about the new repo 12volt motors interferrng with the choke or maybe even the cowl vent. I did some looking around and American Classic has this one for $185.... and "sort of looks" like the one from NewPort Engineering.
NewPort says theirs clears choke cable/vent and it cost $209.
Question: who has used and has comments about either one. I ask about wiper motors in another post a while back but want input on these two.

This one says it clears choke....another one listed here for the same years says it "clears the cowl vent and the A/C. I plan to put A/C in one day.

What say the ones who have used these?

I also plan to be in Kansas next week and will get one from JimCarter if someone can tell me if theirs clears a/c...vent ect ect....Mike where you at?
