C10, As of September 1, I would have had to register with the Texas Environmental Commission as a storm water generator. My truck yard adjoins a truck stop which I own that has been in the state's cleanup program since 1990. The million dollar cap has been spent and very little has been accomplished. When they examine compliance at the gas station they are too stupid to realize that the skeletons of trucks across the fence are being salvaged for parts. If I register, they will be back there digging and I have been there since 1963. I am sure there is some contaminated soil after all these years My gas stations fall into the state clean up which has a cleanup fund with a million dollar cap. I would have have to pay for the clean up myself and build holding tanks for several acres of runoff water. Also, the limits of my general liability for the salvage business will be raised which also cost money. I will be 67 years old in Nov. and I don't need this stuff. Furthermore, the safety requirements for my trucking business was tightened as the first of June was tightened. All of my equipment is compliant, but the record keeping has gotten even crazier.
