Charley, There's previous posts by me on the same issues you are having. Your bearing should be 1 7/8" length. My problem turned out to be a faulty "rebuilt" pressure plate. I bought a complete "new" package, clutch,pressure plate and TO bearing, from NAPA and installed them this afternoon without any problems. Everything works fine now.
