There are 2 different lengths of throwout brgs. If it didn't come with the pressure plate it may not match. Are you sure you hace the disc faceing the right direction? They generally are marked "flywheel side". I'm sure you have the bearing surface faceing the clutch fingers. Remove the lower cover & have a helper work the pedal up & down with the trans. in neatral. The disc should float from the flywheel & pres. plate. If all that is good & pactically all the play adjusted out of the linkage put the trans in high gear with the clutch pushed in & try to start the engine. If it starts slip the clutch a little to free up the pilot bushing & seat the lining. If its locked up tight you will have to tear it down & see what went wrong. They say money can't buy happiness.
