In front of the right side cylinder head, there should be a flat spot with numbers stamped into it. You may need to clean and sand this area to make them ledgable. There is also a casting number behind the left head on the bellhousing flange. It won't tell you exactly which engine it is but it will give you a range of engines it is cast for. List the numbers here and the guys with decyphering books will tell you what you have,
