I have been a straight six fan for years, It is possible to rebuild this motor as it is only a mtter of the machining process. If you want an original motor, then find a different one to build. If you want a modified, then the one you have is perfect for putting in larger pistons, a new crank, bigger valves, and a new cam shaft. It is a growing fad now to hot rod these six cylinders with extreme intake manifolds and headers for exhaust. My father, a long time drag racer intentionally puts his motor blocks out in the elements for years by his shop in order to "season" the block. He says this is crucial for a build. Now as for the reasons or facts as to his actions can be disputed, but the old school car club guys swear by this practice.I think it is cool to look under the hood to see what appears to be an original motor, untill it fires up and runs a quarter mile faster than a stock v8 heheheheh..............
