I've got three motors. A 472 that is completely disasembled and which I assume needs complete rebuild, a 500 represented as a solid motor but who knows, and a low mileage 500 I drove home and know sounded and ran nice.
I'll be putting a new cam (MTS 3 or 5), cam chain and gears, probably an oil pump and the Edelbrock manifold on it.
Hopefully I've correctly analyzed what I have!
