I finally managed to bend the tabs on the back of the switch enough to get the plastic part out that has the contacts and springs. It showed signs of arcing. I took a wire brush and cleaned the contacts really well, greased the moving parts then reassembled the switch. It works better but is still a bit glitchie. Guess I'm going to have to fork out $50 for a new one  | | |
