I can clearly understand health problems being a problem with a manual, but as far as traffic goes, a manual was never much of a negative to me. As an option, one could always hold back a car length or two before proceeding. Some behind you may not like it, but there is no law against it and you will still get there the same other than a lane jumper now and then.
