I've been running the inexpensive Mr. Gasket adjustable fuel pressure regulator on my 235 engine with both the Holley/Weber single and later with the dual Carter/Webers. The Mr. Gasket regulator replaced a faulty Spectre regulator.

Both the H/W and the C/W work well with 3-1/2 psi of fuel pressure.
