thanks guys The motor is .060 over and slightly higher compression after the head and block were surface milled to true them up. The puzzleing part is these same carbs worked OK on the old tired stock 53 motor that came out.I've tried NAPA , Advance auto my local parts guy and no luck Chevy classic is also out and has no cores currently.One of the carbs I had must have been from the 216 because you can see that someone elongated the holes to match the stud spacing on the manifod. The bore size is the same.
