What size engine are you working with? Unless you have a very large-displacement engine like an overbored 235 or a 261, it's very likely you'll experience severe over-carburetion with two of the same size carb that was designed to function right in a single application. Why not get the stud spacing modified to the narrower dimension, and install two 216 carbs like the Carter YF, etc.? You will still have a net gain in total volume capability at full throttle, without so many of the issues with flat spots and other problems associated with having too much carburetor for your engine.
