John, The fix that's been around for years is a water pump with a shortened shaft and flat type pulley. You can make one or buy one from most truck vendors on this site. Getting the correct fan is another issue. I had to use a whittled down fan which was ok until the hot summer months. So I added an electric fan in front of the radiator.
