I agree with Denny. Take them out and clean them in the very least. Why have a vehicle that will go but not stop? The odds of them being good is small to none. Make sure you at least flush all the lines too. Replace the flexible lines without thinking about it. When I fix my brakes, I don't want to even question if I can stop or not. Ever!
It is nothing more than a gamble with your life, or that of someone else.
