Well, I charged up the battery last night and I was checking the voltage with a meter...
... I don't think a alternator works so good with a burnt wire:
burnt wire Now I'm wondering how this happened to start with.
I hope to get out there tomorrow and tear into it, but I thought I'd keep you guys in the loop.

p.s. my alternator, power steering pump, water pump, etc.. are all similar to the 1992 engine accessories
