I used there Rust converter topped with there rust encapsualtor on my 52's windshield frame perimeter (were the gasket sets) before painting with great success.
I also tried it on my trailor hitch on my 97 Dodge,I basically removed all the rust I could with a wire brush and then applied the converter topped with encapsulator then topcoated it with Rustoleum brush on ...(2 coats).
Rust started to creep out again at the seems and some weld joints after bought 3 months of PA winter and salt and at this time it needs to be redone as I feel the converter could not get into the seems and joints deep enough to kill the rust that was already there.
If I was to do it again I would remove my hitch and have it sandblasted then paint.
I would suggest getting rid of as much of the rust as you can before applcation,Just my review of the product.
