Well I finally took my 59 3200 (w/rebuilt 235) out on it's first road-run/ring seating voyage. When I got back there was oil all over! Well, mostly coming from the flywheel coverd, and the timing plate area. I had run the engine at idle a few times to check it over and adjust the valves and such, and there was almost no oil leaking.
Here's a thought (prayer?): I replace the road-draft tube with a pcv valve, and hadn't hooked the hose to the intake yet because I just got the carb kind of set up right. Would that make pressure build in the crankcase and force oil out of these places?
I searched the forum, and yes, the flywheel locating pins are in place!
I guess I'm not done with bloody knuckles and dirty hands yet...
