The control will work with the angled position (although, I don't have door panels so I don't know if there will be a clearance problem.)I was thinking of taking the control apart and flipping the plate so it would work like the original but the connecting link will be too long. I will probably buy another control for the other side so that both doors will operate the same (i.e. pull back to open; push forward to lock). I can't seem to locate a control specific for the 47 and 48 (although the catalogues state that the controls are for 47 to 53)

It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.
