Ok, answered my own question..everything is off...axel out first, then hub and drum as a unit....easy. A transmission jack and a block of wood works great for a heavy hub and drum by the way.
Next question which is more general for all of the early years I think. Do the rear wheel bearings get lubricated from the rear end fluid, or do they need greased. I'm not sure if I have a bad seal or if the gear oil was supposed to get that far.
