Not bad at all! I'd try to get that block sleeved if it was me doing the job,just because you can't be sure there wasn't other special machine work done to it. I think 12:1 is a little high for street use,your machinist might be able to suggest some options to lower it to maybe 9.5 or so. You may be able to sell your other engine for enough to pay for the hotrod motor's machine work.
Why did the wristpin hit the cylinder wall? Lose a C-clip,was one not installed?That might be something you need to look at upgrading. Maybe another kind of retainers for the wristpins is in order.
