I think I got a good deal today. Here is what I got one 292 60 over 12 to 1 piston, port and polished head with bose removed in the intake, the crank and piston are balanced, there is damage in number four piston were the rist pin has scored the cyl wall. the head was done back some time ago by RHS with 202 intake and 190 exhaust. clifford four bl carb, holley four bl carb, one stock 292 complete, min the intake, exhaust. mallory dual point dis. bell housing two cluches and flywhell for same. the first motor was run at Lakeland drags in the 70's and run 11's and 12's in the 1/4 mile. the first motor has no lip in the cyl walls just the rist pin problem, may have in sleved to fix that problem, or take the second motor and have it bored 60 over and put everything in it. I got all of this for $150.00 I think I got a great deal. do yall.
may have to change to super292six

super250six

Not bad at all! I'd try to get that block sleeved if it was me doing the job, just because you can't be sure there wasn't other special machine work done to it. I think 12:1 is a little high for street use, your machinist might be able to suggest some options to lower it to maybe 9.5 or so. You may be able to sell your other engine for enough to pay for the hotrod motor's machine work.
Why did the wristpin hit the cylinder wall? Lose a C-clip,was one not installed? That might be something you need to look at upgrading. Maybe another kind of retainers for the wristpins is in order.
You got a great deal!

I think you can run two head gaskets to take down the compression a bit. That or run octane booster on it and a cooler thermostat to help prevent ping. You'll need premium fuel for it.

Great deal but a lot of compression for a street motor. I would bring it down some.
