John will the 57 chevy car shifter for sure clear the stock bench? I have a low hump truck. The 57 shifter might be the way for me to go. The hump on a low hump truck pops up a few inches right at the front edge of the seat. I want to keep the shifter out of this area because i think it might be difficult to get a shifter boot on.You guys have some awesome lookin trucks. Justin
I haven't installed it yet, so I will have to honestly say I don't know for sure. I will post some photos though once I get around to it this fall. If you have viewed my photo link you know I ain't scarred when it comes to modifying stuff. Part of the shifter install is adding a 4-speed floor hump patch that is made for a '70 Camaro. I'll make it fit.. just need a bigger hammer.
