Also there should be a similar tin splash guard where the road draft tube goes in, I think, been some time since I've been inside one. What year is your motor? If it's the late style with BIG 1/2" pipe thread oil holes on manifold side, make sure you check to see if the OIL PLUG is pushed in for full pressure. If you have smaller oil holes not a big deal.
If you have the BIG oil line holes and plug is pushed in YOU MUST RUN A FILTER WITH BIG LINES. | | |
