I used a 79/80 Malibu rear end in my 37. It does fine. I just set the pinion angle and then welded the perchs. It sits right on top of my original springs, used tube shocks and it rides pretty doggone good. I had to move it about 1 1/2" to get in in the center of the fenders. I make a "plate" and drilled a hole in it to fit over the center pin on the original springs, then drilled a hole for the lowering block's center pin to fit in... then the rear end sit on top of the lowering block with the hole in the perch fitting on the center pin of the lowering block..... gosh, I'm probably confusing you but this is how I did mine. If you do not need to lower yours then just leave out the lowering block.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
