Thanks, baldeagle. I have the rotor exactly on plug one when at TDC, so I'll try to move it a little ahead. And, I will check the float level according to the shop manual specs. I'll let you know what happens. Are there any signs that make it obvious whether the distributor should be advanced or retarded? And sounds or indications (engine backfiring through carb)?
