I've never seen or heard of anyone else but me personally using an 8 volt battery in their bolt. I bought my battery out of ignorance of the above-stated criticism, but I have not suffered from the dire predictions that I read over and over on this subject. That said, I believe the wise words of Jerry, and will gladly go back to a 6 volt battery when the 8 volt jolt dies its natural death.
