I have a good practically new 8 volt battery and an old truck that I am tryin to get started and no money.

Many years ago I saw this guy Hook up some sort of meter somewhere on the voltage regulator and start messin around with the inside of the regulator to get the regulator to handle/charge an 8 volt battery.

Anybody know what I'm talkin about/done this and able to post here how it's done?
