a security/start/fog switch in my rig my fogs are NOT wired thru my headlight & can be used anytime,

as you see ... the stock H/L switch is far left, the wiper switch is upper and start/security/fog is the lower of the two w/ the light logo, a double acting switch. on my rig you have to pull the start switch b4 you turn the key on or the horn sounds loud..... i hate it when i forget to..........
wire them using a relay
i used a relay [ 5-6bucks ] i wire in the dask from the acc side of my fuse panel goes to a switch [your toggle] or some other as you choose,
so the
relay #30 pole to main battery power wired off some sort of terminal lug, 12gauge wire.
relay # 85 to ground 16ga.
relay # 86 to toggle or other dash mounted switch, 16ga
relay # 87 to fog lights, 12ga.
fog lights should have two wires w/in the light, take both ground wires from the fog lamps and attach them to a good solid ground.
as the toggle switch is activated it inturn operates the relay coil and goes to ground. that side of the relay is now working. when it activates the relay coil, that coil operates the switch w/in the relay, connecting the large gauge wire @ post #30 to connect to #87 to the lights.
thus you get all 12+++ volts to the fog lamps all the time.
