Interference is a given in column shift trucks. You might be able to simply shorten the arms for clearance but be aware that will alter the throw of the shift arm inside the cab. I cut mine and tacked in flatbar extensions to reach under the intake but it took several attempts before I found an arm geometry that worked to my satisfaction and then I welded them solid.
