cshamel and Longbox:
Let me make sure I understand this as I think it will pertain to me.
I'm putting the power steering conversion on my 52panel and its recommended that I switch to the "new" type "tapered" tie rod ends. As I understand it I should be able to use a "modern" tie rod end to replace my old ones....but I don't know which ones to buy.

So, are the upgrades in LMC and Brothers the "new tapered" type or just a "new" version of the old ones??

I did some searching a while back when I was buying the conversion kit and I remember that I could get BOTH ends for about 75 to 80 dollars..... and if I knew what they were using them off of I could get them through Advance Auto and get my discount.

Am I making sense to anyone??

The conversion kit I got says I can use the old ones "with some work on them" but I want to avoid a bunch of stufff that will not turn out good and I want to be safe!!
So, if anyone can help please do. If you have used an over the counter tie end rod when going to power steering can you give me the part # for them ..... and hope I can return the favor some day.
Thanks

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
