I think one of those 2 barrels off an AMC 258 might work really good. I had a 258 in a Pacer, but it had a 1 barrel carb of some sort. I think the 2 barrels were a hi pro option. They show up on ebay quite often and are pretty cheap. Maybe I'll just buy one and give it a shot! Then again the same can be said of the Autolite. They are plentiful and cheap, so here i go again; the paralysis of analysis.
