I believe its probably normal old truck smell. Mine does it to, when the wind is just right, its prety bad in the cab if your not used to it. Add some tail pipe to move the fumes as far back as you can. Check all the fittings on the tank, fuel pump, and carb, just to make sure there are no more leaks. Rebuilding the carb might help some a long with a really good tune up. Joe
