i recently mounted a set of oem trailer wheels and radial tires to match. i got them through my local mom and pop wheel and tire outfit. they gave me a great price. they also let me do all the labor of mounting the tires on the rims and balancing them. that saved me a few extra $.
anyway, they work but the clearance is very tight. so tight that the wheel weights on the inside of the rim rub on the tie rods. simple fix. i just popped the weights off. the wheel does not feel out of balance while driving. if it does i'll use the stick on weights and place them closer to the centerline of the wheel.
thanks again for the info. my split rims were going to need some major work to be safe.
