At long last I have new radial tires on my 1950, 3604. All the suspension and brakes are stock on mine. Quite a difference in the ride, the bad vibrations in the front end are gone and with the windows down I can’t here any tire noise. I had to settle on 9.50R 16.5 for the rear and 8.75R 16.5 for the fronts. A little fat but their tubeless radials all around at last.
The wheels are 16.5’s from a 1980 C20 and fit the rear with plenty of clearance. The fronts needed a 1.25” spacer/adapter, which provides close to an inch clearance. I probably could have gotten away with a 1” spacer/adaptor but any less wouldn’t hide the stock lugs.
The Clips are from the venders and needed a 3/8” stand off to grab the stock hubcaps. They look durn near stock and you have to get up close to tell their not. Here’s a few picks that show them on the truck:
