I have decided to update this post and it's pictures after many years.
As previously discussed some trailer wheels will fit our 8 lug hubs while clearing tie rod ends. Originally I had difficulty finding non-spoked trailer wheels or any that looked similar to the originals.
My uncle had a older trailer which had the wheels I wanted. So I tried to fit them and they worked.

The price was $62.75 per wheel.
I ordered 5 so I could have a side mounted full size spare.

Total price was $406.14 which I thought was good compared to other options.
The wheel came in black gloss which is what I wanted and looked very similar to stock split rims

The tire shop seemed to have trouble balancing the wheels but finally got them done.
After near 10 years I have finally driven my truck on the road to see how it would handle. And the verdict is...Good. No noticeable problems with the handling, that's not attributed to being just an old truck.
